The City Clerk is responsible for managing the official records of the City of Kearney, including:
- Recording all proceedings of City Council meetings
- Serving as the legal custodian of official records, including:
- Minute books
- Ordinances
- Resolutions
- Contracts
- Agreements
- Conditional Use Permits
- Liquor licenses
- Deeds
The City Clerk oversees the adoptions and publishing of the Code of Ordinances and helps to ensure that all open record requests are in accordance to the Open Records Act.
